William Irvine

William Irvine is the author of Madam I’m Adam and If I Had a Hi-Fi. An editor and writer and avid logophile, he has also contributed articles on language, social history, architecture, and design to The New York Times, Gentleman’s Quarterly, Gourmet, and House Beautiful, where he was a longtime editor. He lives in Wilmington, North Carolina.
